Brief
Biography
Born in
Independence,
MO on January 18, 1986 (to present), Jesse is a mathematically
inspired pen and ink line artist influenced by such greats as
M. C. Escher,
Vincent Van Gogh,
H. R. Giger,
Michelangelo,
Claude Monet,
Georges-Pierre Seurat, Joe Sorren and others. Jesse's blatant
abstract work coupled with a hint of
surrealism,
expressionism,
pointillism, and
impressionism are all combined to master the attention-grabbing
artistic flow of the ever present modern world mixed with the imagination
of fantasy and the bitter-sweet history of our past. It's abundantly
obvious that Jesse Neumann's art captures the essence of what was,
what is, what will be and what can be. |

Early Years
Jesse's humble past took him through a season of several moves during
his childhood that made him familiar with the expected and unexpected
changes we all experience throughout life...and of course made him familiar
with Southern Arizona (Tempe,
Mesa,
Scottsdale).
After those transitional years, Jesse's family settled in the middle
of the world's largest Ponderosa pine forest where the four-season climate,
unlike the rest of Arizona, can drastically range from 15º for a low
in snow covered mid winter to an average of 86º in monsoon ridden mid
summer--Flagstaff,
AZ where he currently resides.
Education
The
Flagstaff
Arts and Leadership Academy (FALA) is the four year liberal
arts high-school where the wheels began to turn more rapidly for
Jesse's desire to create. Having spent most of his four-years of
high school at FALA with the exception of one semester at
Flagstaff High School, Jesse was surrounded every day by other
aspiring artist of every type.
Northern Arizona University
was Jesse's next stop in the learning curve where he pursued computer
science and programming. After a few semesters of such "boring
work," Jesse decided to concentrate on his art and pursue creating
with his hands instead of just with his mind. |

Hobbies
Aside from pen and
ink art, Jesse is an accomplished violin instructor. Other ways
Jesse spends his time is by exposing himself to the multiple and
varied climate zones that Flagstaff, AZ offers. He enjoys hiking,
biking, camping and running.
He toys around with computers and
is an avid video gamer. Reading from H. P. Lovecraft, writing his
complex thoughts down and sipping on the occasional single malt
scotch & water or glass of wine also keep some of his time. Jesse's
love for music is as broad as the spectrum, but prefers virtually
anything live--acoustic is his favorite.

Travels
A few of the United States and several foreign
countries including Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico, Panama and Nicaragua
are among the countries Jesse has traveled. He enjoys the local cuisine
that shocks his senses and takes him away from the American norm.
