Drawing With Pen And Ink
Drawing with pen and ink is similar
to drawing with pencil in that the use of line and technique is
closely related. An experienced pen and ink artist uses basic
line drawing, contour line, cross-hatching, scribbling or scumbling
and other similar techniques. Although pen and ink is more difficult
to perfect.
Jesse uses India ink which is a
standard and is a permanent ink. India ink is notorious because
it's not easy to clean up and is almost impossible to erase. Should
a mistake or spill occur, the artist can count on either improvising
that area of the piece or starting over with the project all together.
All-be-it, drawing with pen & ink
can have its rewards. A good pen and ink artist can excel in many
areas including abstract art and up to photo realistic work. As
you have already noticed, Jesse's work is a cross between surrealism,
direct abstract, expressionism and impressionism.

Purchasing Ink and Pen lithographs, Prints and/or
posters
Jesse has made his work available
in several different formats and a variety of designs. That is
to say, you can purchase several different pieces of the same
drawing and not get the exact same drawing. There is the original
version, a "cartoon" version, a "plastic" version--or one that
looks plastic, a "cut-out" version, a "fresco" version, etc.

Ink and Pen Drawing Sizes
Sizes available include what we
like to call extra-small, small, medium, large, extra-large, double-extra-large
and extremely large versions. Of course pricing is relative to
the size of the image. All-in-all, there should be a version,
size and price to meet even the most distinguished of tastes.

How Do You Feel About Pen And Ink?
Please feel free to browse through
Jesse's work and comment on his art...although we ask one thing
of you as you peruse the pieces;
please appreciate the work for what it is and not for what you
or others think it should be.
